The Sky is grey and white and

CLOUDY

Have you ever seen a sky that wasn’t perfectly drawn and displayed. Like maybe wanting to say that that cloud should be over there and that one should be fluffier, oh, and that one should have a little more color.

NO!  The sky is always perfectly balanced and the clouds are always perfectly arranged and lighted.  That’s because the sky is conforming, in an absolutely natural way, to the conditions creating it.

The available sun, the wind driven by the jet stream but shaped by the contours of the earth, the mountains, the plains, the heat coming off of the ground (thermals).  The sky is the perfect canvas for the earths painting tools and it always displays a masterpiece.

I have always liked the sky and sunsets in particular but, there seems to be many beautiful sunsets in this part of Texas, North of Houston, here at

Waterstone Estates.  Maybe, when I lived in Houston, I just never had a good vista to view the sky and sunsets from.  But here, at these two lakes, there is a less obstructed view and they therefore appear more often and more brilliant.

The lower picture is a panorama shot taken over the lake.  The iPhones for the past several models have had a pretty convenient and easy to use panorama feature that does a great job of capturing and rendering the 270 degree image.

They are particularly impressive when viewed on a very large monitor or screen.

I will create a gallery and post more amazing cloud and sunset shots as time goes on.  Please stay tuned.
